The software
ILoveNotch is free, open-source software released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and share it under that license. These terms cover the downloadable app and this website; the MIT License governs the source code.
Free, with no account
ILoveNotch costs nothing. There are no paid tiers, license keys, or accounts. Sponsoring the project through GitHub Sponsors is optional and doesn't unlock anything.
Your data
What ILoveNotch creates stays on your Mac. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what it reads and when it uses the network.
Third-party services
Some features talk to services run by others: the update check uses GitHub Releases, and the optional AI Usage tab (GitHub build only) talks to each AI provider you turn on, using the sign-in you already have with that provider. Those services have their own terms, and you're responsible for using them in line with those terms. Downloads from the Mac App Store are also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
No warranty
ILoveNotch is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement, as the MIT License states.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the authors and copyright holders aren't liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use.
Trademarks
ILoveNotch isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, Cursor, or any commercial notch app. Their names are trademarks of their owners and appear here only to describe compatibility.
Changes
These terms may change. Changes are published on this page with a new date, and the full history is public in the repository's gh-pages branch.
